Take This Moment

Today is a day of remembrance.  9/11 unfortunately will never be just another date.  Living in NJ so close to NYC made this tragedy hit home hard.  We all knew people, plural, that were affected by this tragedy.

All we can do is honor them everyday.
All we can do is pray for them everyday.
All we can do is make a promise to live our life to the fullest.

No one is guaranteed a tomorrow.  Heck, we are not even guaranteed what will happen within the next hour.    But what we are guaranteed is the present moment.  In that present moment we must make the best of it because just like that, the present becomes the past.

I urge you to go out there today and every day enjoying life to the fullest.  Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you.  Try to be positive rather than negative.

Simply put.

Today I am challenging myself that instead of crying when I see the memorials on TV, hear the horrid stories of what happened and the stories of "where were you when it happened", I will put a smile on my face.  I will make someone giggle today.  I will make people think happy thoughts rather than negative.  I will get through the day not being sad, but grateful for what I have in my life.

Bad shit happens, let's not dwell on it because that's how they win.  Instead, let's rise from hate and be warriors of peace and love.  Even a little change can make a big difference a long the way.

Join me in being a warrior today and everyday.
