The day is here, the big announcement

Today, Magic Mike comes out!!!!!

I am so freaking excited because let's face it, it's a movie about super duper hot men who strip.  WINNING!

Yesterday, my co worker told me that they found a bug INSIDE the water bottle for the water cooler.  It was inside people.  Like floating in the huge 5 gallon bottle. How it got in there, no idea.  But I drank from that water cooler. Can you say EEEWW.  I m convinced that I am going to have a zillion bug babies.  How will I explain that to the hubs??!?!?!

I finally got my hair done!  And today it is humid as shit, so my perfectly straightended hair is now frizzing up and getting curly. FML.

We are going to experience another heat wave here in Jersey. It's going to be a hot one today and tomorrow. What makes it worse is this dam humidity! Go away humidity, no one likes you, especially people with curly hair.

This morning, I woke up to the thunder that rocked our apartment! And it was so freaking early too which woke the dog up, so she thought it was play time and wanted out of our bedroom.  I was so pissed but I finally let her out of the bedroom and turn the air on in the living room so she's not dying of heat... get a load... Sadie went and did two laps of running, found her toy, came running back to bedroom, jumped on the bed with her toy, played with it for about 5 minutes, then went back to bed.  I got up for that.  FML.

So, who's going to have girls night and see Magic Mike?!?!!?!

I am so excited to go home today after work!!!!!!!

Why you ask?  Because this chicky (me!) made a crockpot recipe and I just can't wait to go home and eat it up!

So, last night I chopped up all the veggies and I added some potatoes too.  This morning, I seasoned the chicken and threw everything in and voila, done!

I got the recipe from SkinnyTaste's blog.  This is her Crock Pot Chicken Cacciatore recipe.

Everything ready to get dumped in

I used chiken thighs with the bone in and took the skin off.
Last night at like 11 o'clock, I was up chopping up the veggies.  I also threw in some potatoes too!
Just dump the can in!

This is going to be my first time using the crock pot liners.  I hope it works because I HATE cleaning the crock pot after.

I literally DUMPED everything in.  And set it on low for eight hours.

So, here's hoping the recipe comes out and we will be able to eat a dinner today.  I. Can't. Wait.

If you LOVE nail polish, you will love my featured blogger!

Two posts in one day. OH SNAP! I'm on a roll.

I am super excited for you all to meet unSimply Celia.  She is just awesomeness and nail polish goddess wrapped up in a ball. Seriously, she joined a Kustom Kissers club.  I didn't even know that existed! How awesome is that?!?!
Anywho, let's get to know her better.

Have you ever made out in a movie theater?

Ok, if my little cousin is reading this. No, I have NEVER! Bad bad thing to do. If she isn't. Yes, hasn't everyone? At the time, so much fun haha. Oh the things we do when we are young(er).

Do you have an innie or outtie?

Innie, outties scare me. Please do not let me have one when I get preggers. I will cry.

Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
I can parallel park!!! Although if someone else is with me I have been known to get out of the car and let them do it. Eh, parking is not my thing. I get nervous.

Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?
Scrunch AND fold.

Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
I did, like 16 boxes....... don't judge.

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?

Hmm... probably VS, you can get work clothes, fun clothes, workout clothes, and fun undergarments.

Do you sing in the shower?

You know, I actually haven't in years. I used to sing at the top of my lungs! I do a lot of thinking in the shower! haha.

What movie do you know every line to?
None, I suck at lines. I would have never been a great actress. Reality star, sure.

Have you ever been stuck in an elevator?

Noooo, BUT funny you should ask because today I took the elevator twice to my office.... and as it approached my floor it started shaking. I scurried out of the elevator. =/

Who inspires you?
So many people.

• My parents - through thick and thin they have stuck together. No doubt they have had and still have some obstacles in their lives but they somehow always push through and join forces.

• My Mister - good gosh he is so smart and is such a hard worker. He doesn't expect anything to be given to him...

• My new boss lady - she has been with our company for 30 years, she knows so much and I know there is so much she can teach me.

• My fellow bloggers - some just pour their hearts out, others have the most amazing ideas.
Make sure you stop over at her blog and give her some blog loving! Tell her I sent you.
Thanks Celia for answering!!!!!

Come out and meet me in person, but please don't kill me.

Hey y'all.  This morning has already started out bad.

I have to say R.I.P. to my hair straightener, which decide to stop working halfway through with only ten minutes left for me to leave to go to work.  So, half of my hair straight, and the other half is frizzy and curly.  Freakin wonderful.

On another note, there is going to be a NJ blogger meet up!

Thanks to Nikki, Jamie, and Sarah, I'll get to meet a bunch of bloggers!!!

I am so freaking excited.  Like, I feel nervous that they won't like me and kick me out.  But then maybe they will love me?  This is totally like the first day of school feeling.  EEEEKKK.

Well, I hope they like me and don't think I'm too corny for them, or too talkative, or get embarrassed by my laugh.  Oh geez, this can either go good or bad.

So, if you're from the area, come meet us!!!!!  We can all fist pump together.  No? Yes? Maybe?
OK, I am done.

Also, check out this cool little gagdet if you want to follow blogs that happen to be in your area.

It has an interactive map that you can use to find bloggers near you.  How awesome is that? I'll tell you, very awesome.  Go on over to Whispering Sweet Nothings blog and sign yourself up!

Stay tuned for later today when I will be featuring one of my favorite bloggers!!!!

I just feel...

like nothing.
It's weird.  I am just so not in a good place right now.  And I blame it all on stress.  Stress about my job. Stress about home. Stress about me. Stress about everything.  And I don't want to hear "Don't stress about things..." because in the end, if I don't do things around the house and at work, it just simply won't get done. So, I have to stress about it.

You want to know what would be nice? If I came home from work and was able to sit down and watch TV and snuggle with the pup while someone else cooks dinner and cleans up. That would be nice.

Something else that would be nice is to hire a cleaning lady to come to my apartment and do a deep clean.  I have slacked at this. But with things being so busy in our lives, the free moment I have I want to sit and relax for a long amount of time, not like the 10 mins here and there I get currently,  because I don't get to do that when I come home from work during the week let alone the weekends.
I am seriously considering hiring a cleaning lady for the day.

What would be nice if laundry never existed.  I loath doing the laundry.  Laundry fairies, where you at?

Another thing that would be nice is if I can be OK with who I am today and remind myself to be PATIENT. My patience is slipping away little by little and I have a bad feeling it's going to make way for not so nice Mrs. Newlywed Giggles.

Something else that would be nice would be if I can chocolate all day long and not feel an ounce of guilt.

Another thing that would be nice, if my dog would stop peeing on my blankets, hence having to do laundry, hence the blankets still balled up in a corner, because I don't want to do laundry because it's effin tiring!

Sorry for the deb downer this morning, but I just don't feel like myself anymore.  I think my problem is I think too much. Everything seems to be spiraling downhill.  A break would be nice.
So, to lift my spirits up, I am downing a protein smoothie shake and will be reading my new book at lunchtime.  The book is filled with inspiration so I am hoping this helps to take me out of this darn rut.

Hope your Tuesday is not a bummer like mine is today.

And there goes the weekend...

Man on man did I have a good weekend.  Saturday was jam packed with lots of things to do.  In the morning, Sadie and I got in the car and headed to the dog park.  There were so many little dogs there at 8am!  Who knew!  We stayed till about 10:00 and boy did Sadie have a good time.  She is getting use to leaving my side for  30 seconds to play.  Gotta love my shadow.

Then, we had a MonaVie meeting that was fantastic as always. Seriously, I love our business because we just get blessed to hear from awesome speakers who really know how to uplift you.

We also finally got to see Snow White and the Hunstman!  Awesome movie.  Love how dark it was.
And Charlize Theron was FANTASTIC.  And she is so freaking beautiful too.

The hubs texted me on Friday to let me know that the new trailer for Twilight: Breaking Dawn is out.

I am so freaking excited.  Yes I am a Twilight freak.  You do shoes, I do Twilight. So don't judge me. :)

Last night, we celebrated the hubs aunt's 70th birthday party at Iberia restaurant.  God damn we ate good!  And the espresso, to die for!

Now I am going to try to enjoy this week as much as I can, because you know, God didn't put me on this earth to not enjoy life.

I do ask for your prayers for a dear friend of ours, my sis-in-crime as I call her, for comfort as her Grandma is now in Heaven.  I am sure she will appreciate it very much.  Thank you.

Below is some snapshots of what Sadie has been up to:
Showing off her profile

I couldn't find Sadie, so when I went to check the bedroom, I thought she would have been under the bed relaxing... but no... this is how I found her.  All on her own she got on the bed, snuggled under the covers, and was asleep, until of course I interupted her. My bad.

I can finally stop living in the bathroom with my head in the toilet

Yall... today has been a TOUGH day.  I barely slept last night because of a bad headache.  Then when I got up this morning to get ready for work, it hit me.  MIGRAINE.

Me: Mother effin stupid shit sucks eff my life i hate world why me no i am going to cry ahh feel sick oh no.

I was not a happy camper.  But it got gravely worse within ten minutes of me lifting my head off the pillow and walking around. This was the mother of all migraines.  Migraine from hell.  Migraine that made me not want to be alive!

I had my head in the toilet a total of five times today.  What made worse, there was nothing in my stomach to get rid off, so it was bad.  My chest hurts. My head hurts. I thought I was going to die.  I was in tears at the last bathroom trip.  Ugh.

It is now 9:26pm, and I am just getting over the hump of the migraine.  It's not away, but at least I am able to move my head around and not want to throw up all over the place.

And this 98 degree weather we are having today, DOES NOT HELP MIGRAINES. My whole body literally shut down on me today.  I am hoping tomorrow is much better!

What made my day today was that I got a blog award and I found out that some jersey bloggers are planning a meet up!!! So, I will talk more about this tomorrow when I feel well enough to actually look at a computer screen.

I just need yall to pray for my big ole head of mine to stop throbbing.  I was finally able to eat some dinner and I really don't want to get rid of yet.

Hope your Thursday was much better than mine.  I'll say hello to the toilet gods for you if I am forced to see him again.

Peace bloggy peeps.

School is over and time to party...

This is most likely what my next featured blogger, Mrs. Bear from Think Happy Thoughts has been doing this weekend.  She is a teacher and boy was she glad for school to be done.  She started her summer freedom by going to Kenny Chesney concert.  I am hoping she is still hungover because that will mean she had a great time!  So, Mrs. Bear is awesome. Simply put.  She also has a furbaby too named McMuffin.  Let's get to know her a bit more.
BWS tips button

1. Have you ever made out in a movie theater?

I was always told not to kiss and tell... but in this case I will let you all in on a little secret... Mrs. Bear was a HUGE prude back in the day, so NO, I never made out in a movie theater. Also, I was a little on the ugly side, so it wasn't like the boys were shoving each other down to try and take me out. I don't think I ever went on a date to the movie theater now that I think about it...

2. Do you have an innie or outtie?
Innie...outies creep me out. Sorry outie peeps.

3. Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
Drive around the block! And Mr. Bear HATES me for this. But seriously, parallel parking is so scary.

4. Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?
Folding?! Who takes the time to fold their tp? I am IN and OUT of the bathroom.

5. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
I would have if someone sold them to me.

6. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Can I name more than one store? J.Crew, Free People, Forever 21, Banana Republic, Tory Burch, Nordstrom

7. Do you sing in the shower?
Only when I am in one of those really excited moods where I feel like I can't hold in my excitement - then the words just start flowing out of my mouth and my husband usually bangs really loudly on the door and tells me to shut up because the dogs in the neighborhood have started howling.

8. What movie do you know every line to?
Home Alone and The Santa Clause

9. Have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
No, but I have been hit in the face by an elevator door...in front of a cop...because I was yelling at said cop...

10. Who inspires you?
Ahh, this is a hard one. I am inspired by many people - my mom, my brother, the grandmother that helps me in my classroom. All of these people have something in common - being that they are hard-working, but focused on family, GOOD GOOD people with HUGE hearts. The kind of people that everyone knows because they are so amazing and because they do so much for the community the everyone they meet. Those kinds of people inspire me to be a better person, to work hard in life, but to make sure that I stay focused on my family and loved ones at the same time.

Thanks Mrs. Bear for participating!!!  Make sure you all go over and leave her a sweet comment.  Tell her I sent ya!

And Mrs. Bear, I SOOOO want to hear the story about yelling cop and elevator door!?!?!?!

Our bed doesn't belong to us anymore

Last night, I went into the bedroom to put on some comfy clothes.  This is what I found:

Yep, that is my dog looking at me like I am wrong for turning on the light while she is trying to sleep... under the covers... on the hubs side of the bed.  How dare ME for disturbing her sleep.

Seriously, this dog cracks me up sometimes.  She didn't move a muscle while I was snapping away pictures.  She also didn't move a muscle while I changed, turned the light off and left the bedroom.  She didn't even follow me. When I went to bed, she was right there,  knocked out.

These are the sweet moments I love being a furbaby mama!

Also, we went to a WWE event on Sunday night.  Get a load of the crystal ball over the ring.  That goes with the wrestlers theme, but I thought it was funny they keep the crystal ball up throughout his match.

Also, we got to take home some leftovers from my mom's house on Sunday.  Man, we were in heaven! Look how much food I packed up for us!

I was glad that yesterday I didn't have to cook dinner!  Wooohoo!
And, just because I am such a proud mama, check out my baby girl being the cutest yorkiepoo ever!

Happy Tuesday my loves.. stay tuned for I will be posting another featured blogger!!!!!!

My eyelids won't stay open

So, this is going to be short because my eyelids are REFUSING to stay open.  And the head snaps... oh the head snaps.
Why am I so exhausted?  Because we did all this this weekend
  • went to dog park on Saturday with Sadie.  She ran around for an hour
  • realized there was a arts and craft festival going on at the park, so I took Sadie and dragged her through the crowds to all the booths.  So much fun!  Eventually, after about a half hour, Sadie started to actually walk through on her own and stopped being a wimp
  • the hubs came back from an overnight trip and we then headed to Costco on Saturday to pick up a few things.
  • out to celebrate bestie's birthday dinner on Saturday night.
  • up at 7am with Sadie on Sunday to walk her and off to church at 9 for my two students confirmation!!!
  • then had a reception after for the confirmation class and got home around 12:30
  • at 1pm, we were headed to my parents house to celebrate father's day
  • at five, we left my parents house to head over to the Izod Center for the WWE No Way Out PPV!!!  I got to see hot men = winning!
  • by the time we got home, it was about midnight.
  • woke up in the middle of the night to the husband rustling around in the bed.  Turns out that Sadie decided to pee on the bed while we were sleeping.  NO INDICATION THAT SHE NEEDED TO GO OUT.
  • us pissed at the crack of dawn. no good. I get to go home and wash all the sheets today. ugh.
Hope your weekend was a blast! And hopefully it didn't end up with a dog peeing on your bed.

She's my sistah wife

Hellllooooo.... welcome to another day on this earth!  So, I met Lindsey over at Sassy Ms. Ginger when I was scouring the bloggy world.  And it became an instant hit as we started the dating of blogging - commenting on our posts!  This chick is so awesome...and when I asked her to be a featured blogger, she replied back to her email with "Hey Sistah wife".  True Story.  She is awesome balls and her blog layout has purple in it. WIN as a bloggy friend since I love purple!
Let's get to know her a bit

Have you ever made out in a movie theater?

It's a wonder I wasn't preggers as a teenager! My buddies ran the theater so we got to preview all the movies, a good share of making out was done in them.....oh my wilder days.

Do you have an innie or outtie?
Innie.....am I the only person who thinks outties are weird?

Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
I CAN parallel park and if I am not driving my husbands truck I will do so, but that thing is a pain in the ass. But I haven't lived in a state that has parallel parking in a long time. We prefer to live in states that don't have paved roads, and if they do, those parking lines aren't necessary since your big ass truck can take up as many spots as you want.....cough Kansas, Georgia cough.....

Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?
I actually had to consciously watch myself do this....but I am a scruncher, but that's probably because I am frantically trying to pee and wipe before the whole family descends on my throne and not just the dogs....crotch sniffers, we are classy in the Sass Household

Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
Apparently the little shits are afraid of me, (I hope my trucker language isn't offensive....but yall should know me by now!) I haven't been asked to buy cookies in years, there aren't even children outside the walmart selling their souls to give them to me!

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Target. They have a lock on my funds, we were pretty close at the furniture store though....or Starbucks? Gosh I would be obese but it would be fabulous because I would be so caffeinated!

Do you sing in the shower?
No, because showering in my house is like a covert mission and I am a spy. If I am lucky, I can get in and get out before anyone tries to join me or lick me clean.

What movie do you know every line to?
Easy A, truly the truest depiction of high school, yall should be afraid for your children. And Emma Stone is a hottie and I love her.

Have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
No, I believe I would turn into a zombie and eat my way out....

Who inspires you?
My mamma, she rules at life, she is so patient and optimistic, which are probably the two things I should work on most.....

Make sure you check her blog out and leave her a comment!
Thanks Lindsey for participating!

Pizza as big as my face

OMG.... it's Friday! Thank the lord.

I am exhausted from a night out with the girls last night.  I have no idea why I thought I would be good to go this morning after getting home around 11:30 at night.  I am totally not 21 anymore.

But, we had such a blast last night celebrating my bestie's birthday.  She is awesome. I love her. But, I could not believe my eyes when she whipped this out from her bag:

Yes, that is a ShopRite coupon holder bag.  AND SHE PAID FOR IT.  I know, I couldn't believe my eyes.  And then she proceeds to take out a wallet out of a wallet out of her bag.  She is lucky she was the birthday girl so we didn't rip on her too much.  Love you Raff!!!  (I know she might read this. ha!)

For her birthday, we ate at a barn. Literally.  It was a red barn.  Food was good.  I ordered a pizza.  I did not think it was going to be this size:

That's sis-in-crime in the back.  We were totally surprised when those babies came out.  Needless to say, I have lunch for today. Yay!
I had a beer too.  Oh Yeungling, how I have missed you!
Tonight, the hubs is going to see some MMA fight with boys. BORING. But, it's down in Atlantic City, so he is leaving me and the pooch behind.  ::sad face::  I want to go just so I can go to the beach in the morning while he probably sleeps in from the all night fight.  I am not a big gambler so I would be content staying in hotel and watching movies.  But, we have the dog and I we can't just leave her home all night.  So, guess I am staying home.  I wanted to plan to do something tonight, but the way I feel this morning, I just want to go home and curl up on the couch with Sadie and relax. Just like we did this morning:

Oh man, I could fall asleep writing this blog post.. that is how exhausted I am!  I hope you all have a good Friday!!!!

Pray I don't smash my head on my keyboard at work.  Pretty sure work will frown upon that.

Do you have an innie or outtie?
An innie.

Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
Def drive around the block! I haven't parallel parked since my road test...12 years ago.

Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper? Fold, for sure!

Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? No. I usually just have a couple at my parents' house when they buy them. I don't trust myself, I will eat the whole box in one sitting if I buy them.

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Home Goods. I love everything in that store and want it all in my house, ha!

Do you sing in the shower? Nope.

What movie do you know every line to? "When Harry Met Sally." Best. Movie. Ever.

Have you ever been stuck in an elevator? Goodness no, but it is a fear of mine. I usually take the stairs if at all possible.

Who inspires you? My parents. They sacrifice without thinking twice. They love unconditionally. They seek to do what's right in all things. They love having a good time and laughing. They live life to the fullest. That is inspiring!

Make sure you go and show her some blog love!

Blog Star: Hi, my name is Mrs. Newlywed Giggles

First thing you are going to say is, "hey lady, you are late."  I know know... I totally missed the boat on this yesterday!  But I tweeted Mrs. Monologues and she told me it was OK... I had until midnight.  Woooo!

So, I am Mrs. Newlywed Giggles.  I started this blog back in January of 2009.  This was right after I got married with the hubs.  I wanted to reach out to women who were in the same boat with me.  Married and had no clue what to do next!  Here is  re-cap post I did of our one year anniversary.  Hard to believe that this November, it will be 4 years!

I have posted a brief post introducing us to the blog world when some of my followers had questions for me. I blog about everything that happens in my life.  The good, bad, ugly, pretty, sad, happy, frustrating... well, you get the point.  Some of my favortie cooking posts include when jalapeno oils kicked my ass and when I attempted to make a salad dressing that had mutiple fails in it.  See, I will even make you laugh.

I recenly became a furbaby mama too.  She is my world. I love her.  She is our daughter for the time being until we settle down enough to make some human babies.
That's me in a nutshell.  I invite you to follow me along the journey of being a working wife that giggles like the tickle me elmo doll.  TRUTH.

Leave me a comment so we can chit chat and I can check out your bloggy digs!

Happy Monday bloggy friends!

Man, I had so much FUN this weekend.  Saturday, I got to hang with 4 close friends.  We took a road trip to Philly to hang out and check out my friends new place.

I haven't laughed and had such a good time at his place in such a long time!  Our drive to Philly was perfect because we hit no traffic.  Went out to a Colombian restaurant and had some good food, then we went back to my friend's place and just hung out.  It's so much fun when you can hang out with friends all night, and laugh so much.  We took ridiculous pictures of ourselves.  Example:
Jesus, Carlos, me and m sis-in-crime Alexa!

hahaha..... I just feel like this picture could be of us from middle school.

I was also excited to celebrate with my two friends (the two guys on the left) who have great things happening in their life!!!!!  EEEEEEEK.  I am just happy to see them soooo happy and smitten.  God is good.

We literally talked all night just about life.  It is a fantastic feeling to talk with close friends about the good and bad and not be judged.  So refreshing.

I hope your weekend was fab!

Note: Do you see my gigantic forehead in this pic, let's pray that whenever baby newlywed giggles comes along, they don't inherit that from me!

Mrs. Monologues

Have you ever made out in a movie theater?

Is the sky blue? Enough said.

Do you have an innie or outtie?
I have an innnie outtie. Yes, that is a thing. The bottom of my belly button is innie, but the tip sticks out like an outtie.

Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
Drive around the block. I am the worst parker in the universe. I can barely park in a normal spot.

Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?
At home I fold. When out in public I take the first couple sheets and throw them away first (gross germs) and the proceed to fold. I always wonder if other people throw out the first couple sheets too.

Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
Of course I did, I am a sucker for tasty cookies and can't say no to cute kids trying to sell me things.

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?

Do you sing in the shower?Yes, I host a sold out show for every concert. Tonight will be a theme of 90s songs. Just call me the Aretha Franklin of shower stalls.

What movie do you know every line to?
Larry The Cable Guy Health Inspector. I wish I was kidding.

Have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
No, thank god. I did get stuck upside down on a roller coaster once in middle school. Like upside down for 15 minutes stuck.

Who inspires you?
My husband. Cheesy but true. He is an amazing husband, is dedicated to always learning and would do anything for anyone.

She also hosts the link-up Fur Baby Fridays!!!!  So, if you have a furbaby, head on over to link up with everyone else!
Thanks Mrs. Monologues for participating!

Wedding bells!!!!

Today's featured blogger is Brittany. She blogs over at First Comes Love.  I recently stumbled on her blog and love her!  She is funny and adorable.  With her wedding planning posts and cute fur baby posts, I just can't get enough of her.

So, let's get to know her a little better

1. Have you ever made out in a movie theater? While my fiance would like to believe I lived in a convent before I met him, yes I have made out in a movie theater.

2. Do you have an innie or outtie?

3. Do you parallel park or drive around the block?I am an excellent parallel parker from living in the city, but I do both out of pure laziness.

4. Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper? Scrunch. Who has time to fold?

5. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
I did not. Le Wedding Diet sadly does not allow Thin Mints. I usually do though.

6. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?If I'm getting the most bang for my buck - Ann Taylor LOFT. If I'm maxing it out on a few nice pieces - Restoration Hardware

7. Do you sing in the shower? When do I NOT sing in the shower?

8. What movie do you know every line to? Clueless, Anchorman, and a very old episode of MST3K where they showed the movie 'The Final Sacrifice'

9. Have you ever been stuck in an elevator? No and I am terrified for that to happen, especially in one of those rickity, barely room for 2 people claustrophobic, old, this-was-never-meant-to-move-ever kind of elevators. With my luck, I'd also have a full bladder.

10. Who inspires you? It's going to sound cliche, but my fiance. He picked up his whole life with the clothes on his back and barely any money and moved away from a bad situation. That takes guts and I am forever in awe of him for being that strong.

Isn't she lovely?!?!!?  Make sure you check her out!
Thanks Brittany for participating.  :)

Let's get one thing straight....

I am a girl.  I love makeup. I love wearing girly things. I like to have strappy shoes.
I do not like going shopping.  ::GASP::
So yeah, I am not that girl that can go shopping ALL DAY.  It's tiring, pointless, waste of time, waste of money (if you are excessively buying to wear only a few times).  IN MY OPINION. Apparently, I have to put that disclaimer of "opinion" before people get all crazy on me.

I am simple when it comes to clothing.  If I like something, I will buy it, but not after truly contemplating whether I really need it.  Seriously, sometimes the husband pushes me to buy something because he just knows how I am.  I'd rather spend money on doing something together with my husband and making memories than a piece of clothing.  Also, I REFUSE to pay a gazillion dollars for something that the fashion world says it is in.  Why should I follow what other people do?  Aren't we on this world to be unique, to be OURSELVES?  So yeah, I am not on top of all the fashion trends.  I am OK with that.  Because again, I wear what is comfortable and what I like to wear, not what the magazines tell me too.

So, this seems to be a challenge for me to explain to other women in this world we live on called Earth.  Why is so hard for people to understand that I just don't like shopping the way some other women do?  Why do they feel the need to push it on me?  Hey, if you love shopping and could do it all day, fantastic for you! But please don't tell me that I am wrong for not liking shopping the way you do.

There is also nothing wrong with me not wanting to spend a lot of money in a store.  Even if I had all the money in the world, I wouldn't go on shopping sprees because again, I don't like shopping.
And the biggie, I may not be a size 4, but my size does not determine why I don't like shopping.  If you know me as a friend for more than two years, you should get that.

Cheers to not being a shopaholic-where-I-have-to-lie-about-how-much-money-I-spent-or-hide-the-things-I-buy-from-my-husband.

Now that I am thinking about shopping, I do need to go to the M.A.C. store to stock up on some makeup essentials I usually have. :)

Do you love to shop till you drop?  Or do you like checking out the clearance section at Kohls?

I am featuring another blogger today who was on the show Bridezillas (hence my blog title.heeee).  But, she really isn't a bridezilla and is the sweetest funniest person ever!!!!  She is also expecting her first baby!  Her blog is filled with inspiration, funny moments, awesome moments, reality moments, she does it all!  Make sure you check her out at Krystal's Kitsch!

So, here are her answers so you all can get to know her better!

  1. Have you ever made out in a movie theater? Um, yes. I sadly worked at a movie theater from when I Was 16 to 18. Lots of crazy times in the theater...let me tell you.
  2. Do you have an innie or outtie? Usually an innie but this damn baby bump is surely poking it out! ;)
  3. Do you parallel park or drive around the block? DRIVE AROUND THE BLOCK. Listen here. I am from FL. We do not have parallel parking and if we *do* it is at some trendy downtown area or somewhere fancy. No one knows how to parallel park. I will honestly get out of the car and make someone else do it. It's not on our driving test. We have no parallel parking spaces. We literally have no chance to learn...unless we move up north and everyone laughs at the silly Floridians who can't drive.
  4. Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper? Fold.
  5. Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year? YES. Thin mints. I still have some in my fridge.
  6. At which store would you like to max-out your credit card? Macys probably. I have an obsession with them! Target is probably the more practical answer though.
  7. Do you sing in the shower? Never!
  8. What movie do you know every line to? Clueless
  9. Have you ever been stuck in an elevator? Thankfully no. KNOCK ON WOOD!
  10. Who inspires you? That's tough. I like strong women who focus on being good people. I read The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and even though it was kind of hokey, I liked what she had to say. She really took time to appreciate the world around her. I will say that she was privileged though and not everyone can just take a year away from working a 9 to 5 kind of gig to think about their mood...it still was enlightening.

So now that you know how awesome she is, check her out!
Thanks Krystal for joining in the fun!

Prepare to laugh

Do I have a treat for you!

I have no idea how I stumbled upon First Name Smith blog, but boy am I happy that I did.  This chick just rocks.  She will make you laugh A LOT.  If you want to be friends quickly with her, just mention a box of wine, and BOOM, instant BFF.

So, for my featured bloggers, I asked them to answer a few fun questions to give you a snapshot of their personality.  Enjoy!

Question: Have you ever made out in a movie theater?

Only to Ryan Reynolds in my naughtiest fantasies.

Question: Do you have an innie or outtie?
Innie, but its more of an innie with a personality complex because parts of it want to be an outie. and after baby? pssh. sistah, I'm lucky that shit even went back as an innie in the first place.

Question: Do you parallel park or drive around the block?
I am an excellent parallel parker. Except for every time that i bump the car in front and in back of me.

Question: Do you scrunch or fold your toilet paper?
Scrunch. folding is for people with ADD. Oh look, a bird!

Question: Did you buy Girl Scout cookies this year?
Husband brings them home. one of the benefits of him being an elementary teacher. So many thin mints that it'll make your ass jiggle for a year

Question: At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
I am all Target, all the time

Question: Do you sing in the shower?
The shower is literally the only time I have peace and quiet. two cats, a dog, a toddler and a husband? I'll take just the sound of falling water. No need to ruin the ambiance with my American idol reject voice.

Question: What movie do you know every line to?
Alladin. Weird.

Question: Have you ever been stuck in an elevator?
No, thank God! I am terribly claustrophobic.

Question: Who inspires you?
My son. He gives me the strength to move on even in the toughest days. oh, and boxed wine. Mama needs her juice.

You better run on over to her blog NOW.  You don't want to miss out.

Thanks Kristen for participating!

Bloggy friends

So, I have recently found some new bloggy friends through other people blogging and stalking my favorite bloggers followers as well. It takes time to go through most of them, but I was on the hunt for some new fun bloggers to connect with.  You can NEVER have to many bloggy friends.

So, I thought and easy way for me to share with you all my favorite bloggers is by featuring them!
I am working on it now as we speak!  So excited.  Here's hoping that one person responds back to me agreeing. Ha!

But, please let me know if any of you want to be featured.  Let's help get all the cool bloggy friends unite together!

On another note, I was cold this morning when walking to my car.  We went from like 95 degrees to this morning being a cool low 60s.  This isn't cold of course, but I was getting use to the warm weather!  Last night when I went to bed, I had the window open.  The cool breeze coming in reminded me a nice fall day!!!!  Then I was like, wait a minute.. IT'S JUNE!!! Funny how senses mess with your brain.

We are suppose to get more rain today. BLAH... but as of now, it's partly cloudy out.  I bet you it will start to rain as soon as I get out of work.

And on a second note, I feel FANTASTIC today with my whole outfit.  It's one of those days that I just feel good and in my mind, look great.  I like these days.

Happy Tuesday bloggy peeps.  To enjoy it a bit more, here is a little something:

Monday Mashup

Loving this link-up of just the crazy random things that run through my head all the time! So, here it goes:
  • I rarely check out my reader during the weekends.  Weird.
  • Sadie celebrated her 1 year old birthday on Saturday!
  • During the weekend, I told myself in my head about an awesome blog post..... I have no idea what it was.  FAIL
  • One of my fake nails came off this morning, so I am walking around looking retarded.  What would be really helpful is if the rest of my acrylic nails would just fall off at the same time.
  • I am excited about cooking dinner tonight because I am going to be trying out a new recipe!!!!
  • It's rainy here and suppose to be like this for the rest of the week..... SUPER BUMMER.

Sadie turns 1 tomorrow!!!!!!!  My sweet baby is going to celebrate a birthday!

Life living on a farm

Shaking like a leaf while waiting at the vet for her booster shot.  :(

So in honor of her birthday, I think I am going to take her to the dog park to play with some friends (as long as the weather holds out!), I might be slipping some extra treats too!  I can't believe she is going to be one! Time flies.

I need to find a treat like this for her!!!!!
