Dress at work = FAIL

So, I got all prettied up today with a cute dress for work.  Feeling the flowy kind of dress to go with the beautiful day we have here in Jersey.

Here is a pic of the dress... it's white and black, but the top part is sheer.  With a white lining underneath.

Well, this morning, I put on some hot pink underwear.  Today, walking around work, I noticed that you can kind of see my skin color from my legs.  Then it hit me.

Yep, you can see some of it.  At least I could.  Maybe as I am walking people can't?  I will never know.
I have a black tank top on underneath since I didn't want my boobs hanging out at work, so I have been pulling that down as much as I could which covers almost all of my butt.  (this tank is longer than ones I have in the past, but today, I am grateful).  But every time I get up and walk around, the tank rides up.

So yeah, my boss and co-workers probably know what underwear I have on and I am a point where I just don't care.

I am in no position to blog about anything at this moment as I grieve the loss of my M.A.C. blush

My favorite M.A.C. blush ::sigh::
I am so upset.  It's in pieces.  My favorite blush.  AND to make matters worse, the sticker fell off the bottom so I have no idea what color shade this is.

My face misses it.  I miss it.  My wallet misses it.

Excuse me as I grieve.  :(

Bugs bugs bugs... and hotness

Hello bloggy friends!!!!

Man, I am PUMPED today!  We had such a great weekend with our dear friends in Vermont.

BUT, there were some party crashers.  BUGS... the size of houses.. No joke!
There are way more bugs in Vermont than there is in NJ.  Man, these things were huge and ugly looking and came with all of their gang members.  And then the ants decided to join the party too.  But I think it's because on our way to Vermont, we killed about a zillion bugs.  They all have a resting place on our windshield.  So, maybe that's why the bugs had no mercy on us, we killed a lot of their family members.

But besides the Bugs 4 Life gang members, our weekend was fantastic.  We spent it with great people. Such an inspiring weekend.  I think we all came out with some new life lessons.  And we laughed sooooo much.  Stayed up late, slept in, walked around in our pajamas, ate way too much at Sugar and Spice, went to the farmers market, went shopping (where I scored an awesome deal on a Coach wallet, and it's purple!), and ate more food.  Great weekend.  God sure did bless us this weekend with awesome weather and awesome company.

We drove home yesterday, and our apartment was at about 120 degrees!  Our air conditioners were downstairs.  Sadie and I were miserable a minute after we got in.  Hubs was awesome and went downstairs to bring up the air conditioner for our room, because Sadie and I would have not survived.  But the hubs came to the rescue, it took a while before the room got cooled, but I fell asleep at some point.  Today is suppose to be another hot day.  Hubs is going to try to put the big AC in our living room today.  And possibly look for a new AC for our bedroom since ours is old.  And since we now have a dog, I would like one where the the AC turns on/off according to temp so we can have that on for Sadie while at work.
All in all, it was a great holiday weekend and I am excited for what this week will brings us.

What did you all do this weekend?

Fur Baby Friday

Sadie told me to let you guys read her letter.... she's so bossy sometimes.

Dear Bloggy friends of my mama,

HI!!!  I just wanted to fill you guys in on what I have been up to this past week.  I had so much fun.

Mama took me to the dog park!  And this time, I wasn't as shy as I usually am.  Mama was so proud.  I ran around with my new friends.  You see that black spec, that's me!  Yep, mid-air shot.  Mama is a pretty good photographer

It was hot when we went to the dog park.  I am still getting use to this heat, and with all this fur on me it doesn't make it any cooler.  But I gladly sat in the back seat of my mama's car and panted for a good five minutes.  I think I was a bit loud because mama kept looking back making sure I was still alive.

I was so EXHAUSTED from the doggy park, I decided to do what I do best..... nap.  No worries, I think mama took this picture while she was a red light.

The next day, it was even hotter... and I was tired from visiting my friends Sassy and Dwight running around in their backyard.  I just couldn't make it to the bedroom... so I fell asleep here.

I LOVE my new blanket that Reinventing the Ordinary made for me.  So soft!

That was pretty much it.  I played hard... and slept hard.

Panic. Sadness. Excited

Bloggy peeps, this week has been insane.  Like I want to pull my hair out at work because work is really kicking my butt.  Stress level through the roof.  Heart rate beating faster than ever.

I am so grateful that the weekend is here.  Within the past two days, I have felt panic, sadness, and excited.... crazy.

Panic = we had a work accident.  Accident where ambulance was called.  Panic that an accident happened at work.  But it is amazing, how you instantly forget all the emergency procedures you are suppose to do, but quickly remember EXACTLY what you need to do two seconds later.  Thankful to God, my co-worker is OK. Some surgery on his leg and a long recovery, but he is alive and breathing.  God is good.

Sadness = Remember this post? Well, last night I was at my church meeting ( I am currently an elder).  And this is when I was going to tell everyone.  I started talking and within two seconds, I couldn't speak the words. Tears welled up in eyes. Felt like my throat was closed.  But I somehow sputtered out that I am moving on to another church.  I thought they were going to be angry, and upset. but they weren't.  They were super supportive!!! I cried like a little baby.  I have been going there since I was like 10.  I got married there.  So many memories.  But I am glad that they are 100% behind me.  I am still upset and even cried a bit on my car ride to work this morning, but I am just trusting in Him to guide me.  It's just one of those bittersweet decisions.

Excited = This weekend, the hubs and I along with our business partners and family are going to have a MonaVie retreat weekend in Vermont.  SUPER. DUPER. EXCITED. It means FRESH air... ( I live in Jersey, there is no such thing as fresh air), great company, life lessons to be learned, and overall no technologyogy.  No stupid cell phone ringing because there is no signal up there! Woooo... so excited to be disconnected for the next three days.  I am not excited thought about the 4 hour car drive.  boo.

What plans do you all have for the holiday weekend?

Sentencing on Rutger's case-let's chat.

So everyone is talking about the Rutger's case... the sentencing was done yesterday.  Dharun was sentenced to 30 days in jail for spying on his roommate via a webcam.  If you don't know the story, he spied on his roommate who was a gay man (who wasn't out) kissing another guy.  That gay roommate committed suicide three days later.

So, some people are very upset about him only getting 30 days.  They want him to have 10 years in jail.  My opinion = I think 30 days is enough.  How can we expect a person to go to jail for 10 years because he probably was just being a stupid immature college student by spying on his roommates.  Can we really sit here and say that this guy intentionally did this so his roommate can commit suicide?  I am pretty sure Dharun didn't think all this would happen.  But 10 years????  He didn't push the guy off the bridge.  Did we ever stop and consider that his roommate had some other issues that contributed to his decision to take his own life?  I think 10 years is excessive.  Some people who commit worse crimes don't even do that type of time.... and they actually physically commit a crime.

Another reason why I feel the way I do is that Dharun life is over.  It was over the minute this case hit the media and took a turn for the worse.  Isn't it punishment enough to have to be him and TRY to continue with a life in the future.  Especially after the media has plastered his face and story  all over the world.  He gets death threats.  He has to walk around for the REST OF HIS LIFE watching his back, because some crazed person out there is going to wreak havoc on him.  I am sorry, but that is punishment enough.  His life has already been taken away by us, his peers.  He will never lead a normal life.

So, in the end, both kids have lost their life, one physically and one emotionally.

I  hope no one "stops following me" because of this, but this is my blog and my sole opinion.  I would love to hear your opinions if you would like to share.

I pray to God that both kids will find peace in their decisions and no harm be done to Dharum out of revenge.  And I hope the roommates family and friends may one day come to peace on the gay roommates decision to take his own life.

The world we live in is a harsh harsh world, but we must remember to make the best of it while we are here.

My not so relax weekend

So this weekend was suppose to be a relaxing weekend for me.  WRONG.

The hubs was away at a conference so I was excited to watch Lifetime movie network and all of my Ellen shows that are DVRed. That didn't happen.

Friday night was a fun night. Got to spend time withe girls at my sister's place.  I realized when I was there, that all of my bridesmaids were together!!!!  I love those girls so much.  My best friend is home visiting from Chicago.  This is even more exciting because she is having a BABY!!!!  I am so happy I got to see her ultrasound pic too... just like a lima bean. Since she doesn't live close, I am treasuring every moment I can celebrate her pregnancy with her.  It's just an exciting time!!!!  We drank wine, except the preggers, and laughed a lot.  It was great!

Saturday I spent the day at my moms helping with power washing the house.  Let me tell you, I LIKE using the power washer. It's actually fun for me.  But after an hour of doing it, it's tiring and hurts.  My body is so sore today!  But, we got the job done and I was able to help my parents out.  Since I was at my moms and it was so beautiful out, I decided to take down all of my blinds, and bring them over to her house so I can clean them outside.  My back also hurts from bending over to clean the blinds, but it was much better and faster than cleaning them in the bath tub.

Today, I picked up the hubs from the airport. I am battling a migraine that is desperately trying to take over my life today, but it is a battle.  I organized our business cabinet today. Got rid of old stuff and put it in the new stuff the hubs brought back. I wanted to do my closet, but I am beat.  Now, to enjoy time with the hubs and pray that this migraine goes away.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

My dog can out run you in sprints

So the hubs is away this weekend. Which meant that my ass had to get up at 4:30AM to drop him off at the airport. Ugh.... but on the bright side, I get the bed all to myself for the next two nights. GLORIOUS!

So, I got back home around 5:30AM and let Sadie out.  Well, she thought it was time to get her workout in and do some sprinting in the house.

Happy Furbaby  Friday!

Sucks to be this guy who has to get the diamond

Just read this article and HAD to share.

Here is the link, but I just copied and paste the article below.

Police to pick through poop to recover stolen diamond

Police are on stand-by waiting for a man to take what could be the most expensive dump in human history. A 52-year-old male is suspected of swallowing a $20,000 diamond during a visit to a jewelry store in Windsor, Ontario. The man had allegedly tried to pull the old switcheroo -- replacing the store jewel with a fake he had in his pocket -- but a store clerk quickly caught on to the ruse, recognizing the thief from a "wanted" poster. According to one of the cops on the case, the forensics unit will be responsible for locating the 1.7 karat gem, in what could only be described as a very crappy day at work.

I totally got that title from Mrs. Bear's post where her Monday started off with cleaning up cat puke.  That's how my day felt.  Like cat puke. Lots of it. I am not in a good mood, and actually going to work today and finding out a shit ton of information that is for sure going to make my heart raise for the next two weeks didn't help either. So, I won't bitch anymore, but I just wanted to say to all the momma's out there, hope your Mother's Day was a blessed one.  You are awesome.

Happy Friday!

So, yesterday the hubs and I went to a free movie screening, and the usher asked us how old we are.
We both say 29.
Only problem is that the only one of us is 29, the other is 28.

ME = 28.

I totally made myself a year older.  The hubs looks at me and says, you aren't 29, you are 28.  How embarassing!!!!  What chick does that?  Me, I am that chick.

And this isn't the first time... First time I was with my mom talking to her co-worker.  I said 29, my mom looks at me and says, you are 28.

Decisions.... I have made them.

Y'all... these past few weeks have been a tough one on me.  I have been keeping some information in my head for awhile letting it stew.  I was so afraid that the decision I made was going to be the wrong one. How do you know which decision is right?  Especially when you make one decision is forcing you to make another decision that you KNOW is right, but will break your heart to make?  Have I confused you yet?

I am not perfect. I curse, I judge, I criticize, I laugh, I cry, I get depressed, I care what other people think, I make people laugh..... I am every emotion balled up into one.  I do things that aren't right.  But, despite doing all the right AND wrong things, I am religious.  Not like fanatic religious, but I believe in God.  I have been going to the same church since I was 13 years old.  I love my church and the people in my church.  They have seen me grown up, go to college, spend a semester abroad down to getting married.  Only one thing, my church is small, like 15 people small.  And out of those 15 people, I am the only one who is not over the age of 55.  No joke. I have come to realize that I go to church, not because I WANT to go, but because I have responsibilities, such as being a Sunday School teacher and singing in the choir.  This has made church mundane for me.  I am not motivated.  The sermons are OK.  The organ plays the same hymns.  I don't go there to rejoice in God, but as more of  a job.  That is not cool with me.  But the timing seems to be perfect.

Tonight, I went to a new church around the corner from my house.  IT. WAS. AMAZING.  There was a band that played wonderful music, the preacher was so down to earth he reminded me of my best friend's cool dad. Seriously, he explained the bible verses in the form of 2012, not 1920.  I felt excited, I LISTENED to the whole sermon and wasn't thinking about my plans this weekend.

Today is the day that I needed to finalize the decision I have been contemplating over for the last few weeks.  I am going to change the church I go to.  Now, this is the hardest because people I love won't understand. They will JUDGE and be mad that I am leaving the church.  They will want me to stay for the wrong reasons.  But I have to be strong and know that He knows what he is doing.  My Sunday school boys do their confirmation next month. After them, there are no other children that will be coming to my teaching level.  I have done my deed.  Now it is time for me to revive MYSELF and move on.

It will hurt to leave my current church, but I pray that in the end, it is the best decision for me.

On that note, hope you all have a good night.  I will be back tomorrow with some crazy shenanigans as always.
I may be a church girl, but I still have my fun. :)

OH and when I blog, i write everything down as I would say it aloud.  I have always done this.  That "y'all" was what I totally said in my mind, but I am NOT, I repeat NOT from the South or ever was. I grew up in Jersey.  But for some reason, there are certain things that people tell me I say with a southern accent.  That is one of them. It's like second nature to me.  I just say that I was a southern belle in my past life.

You suck FedEx

Dear FedEx, when you say guaranteed delivery by 3pm, you are suppose to actually deliver by 3pm. When I call to ask of said package after 3pm, you are suppose to know exactly where the package is and what went wrong, not say, well, looks like it's not out for delivery. No sit Sherlock. I am NOT suppose to ask you if you can figure out where the package is and how fast you can get it here since you... clearly messed up. You are suppose to do that on your own, BECAUSE IT IS YOUR DAMN JOB. You suck FedEx, and you better get my package to me by 5pm today or 9am tomorrow. Because I will call back and say not so lovely things to you. I know God will forgive me after so trust me, I will throw up words at you that you never knew existed.

I get to celebrate Mother's day as a mama!

So, Mother's Day is this Sunday.

I am excited to share with you all that I get to celebrate my very first Mother's Day.

This is news!!  Big news!!!!

I am the mama to this wonderful daughter:

That's my furbaby... and I am her mama.
Oh wait, are you confused?  Did you think I was going to announce that I was pregnant?  No silly.  BUT I do feel that since I have a furbaby who I love very much, that I should be able to celebrate Mother's Day.  Don't you think?

I walk her, feed her, bathe her, clean up her pee, clean up her poop, clean up her throw up, rub her belly after she has thrown up, cuddle with her, get her haircut, buy her toys, buy her clothes. Pretty much the same thing right?

So, to Mr. Newlywed Giggles.... I know you are reading this so don't pretend you NEVER read this.  I think you should make sure that Sadie has a present to give to her mama for Mother's Day.  Just like she will have a present for YOU on Father's day.

It's hard work being a furbaby mama, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I love my baby Sadie so freaking much.

So, how about we all help this mama out and make sure to let him know how important it is that Sadie gets me a Mother's Day present.  Nothing spectacular or big, but just something that Sadie can give to me saying " I appreciate all you do for me mama and love you."

Weekend war with jalapeno oils

Wow did that weekend fly by so fast.  A list of things we did which including a two day battle with jalapeno oils
  • Went grocery shopping Friday night for last minute ingredients that I needed to  make empanadas for a party on Saturday
  • Got home from food store and started making my hot sauce for the empanadas.
  • FORGOT to put gloves on when handling the eight jalapenos I was chopping up.
  • Got jalapeno oil on my hands which DOES NOT COME OFF.
  • Googled remedies to take it off my hands, nothing worked.
  • Touched my face with said jalapeno oils that have seeped into my fingers and my face was stinging.
  • It was a bad weekend as the oils would refuse to leave my body.... the hub had to take my contacts out and put them in for me during the weekend but I couldn't touch my eyes.  FAIL
  • Saturday, got up early and at 8AM I was cooking the ground turkey meat for the empanadas.
  • Woke up hubs and got ready to see 10:30am showing of Avengers with friends.
  • Got to theater at 9:45 and movie was sold out... we had to wait till 12:20 to see the movie
  • During our unexpected break, went and ate at Smashburger for the first time.  It was yum!
  • Watched movie and LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT.  You MUST go see the movie.  It's packed with lots of action and comedy!
  • Came home in a frenzy and started to cook 90 empanadas.
  • Amazingly, cooked it all within a two and half hour span.
  • Got ready and off we went to Cinco de Mayo party
  • Had TONS of fun,so much fun, that I knocked out in the hour car ride home.
  • Went to church yesterday and came home to relax
  • Sadie and I went for a long walk since it was so nice outside.  We walked over to my moms house and Sadie got to run around with Sassy, my friends carin terrier! They had a blast
  • Came back home and relaxed!
It was fun filled packed weeeknd.... and we get to do it all over again this weekend!

The awesome and Channing Tatum's butt

So, the Mr. is an awesome husband.

The other day, he brought home some bootlegged DVDs.  Of course most of them were action guy movies, but one wasn't.... one movie in the bunch was a girly movie.  A movie just for me.  A movie that I really wanted to see.  It was this movie:

I started jumping up and down like a little girl begging to us pretty please with sugar on top to watch that movie over the five other guy action movies.  HE SAID YES.

Yippee.... that's why he is awesome.   Because clearly the movie wasn't on his top list, but for that night, it was because it was on top of my list.

Awesome sauce.

The movie was FANTASTIC..... and it had me clutching at my heart... tears getting ready to stream down my face... and made me smile and giggle.  Awesome movie and I recommend it to anyone.

Such an inspiring movie.

To the Mr., thanks for letting me watch my girly movie and you even being interested in it.  You are awesome.  But remember, I am more awesome. Just sayin....

The movie had Channign Tatum.... I got to see his naked body including  a FULL NAKED BUTT VIEW... sweet jesus.... bless his heart.

Mrs. Speedy

Today was no fun for me.
I received a speeding ticket.

It was for speeding. I thought the street I was driving on was 35 mph.  The officer told me no. And gave me the stupid speeding ticket even though he felt so bad about giving it to me. Whatevs....

So, this is my first offense and this speeding ticket came with 4 points Oh hell no.

So I went to court today to knock of the points.

I got there at 8:30am.... left at 10:45am.

Literally it took me five minutes to conference with the prosecutor to tell him it is my first offense and drop it down to no points and unsafe driving and get the speeding ticket dismissed.

Then it took another five minutes to talk to the judge.
So, if you are a math person, you will figure out that the majority of my time was spent waiting.... and waiting... and waiting.

When I got to the court room, I felt like I was in catholic school all over again.

I literally sat there, straight faced, looking ahead and was so afraid to even look around because I felt like I would get in trouble.

Hopefully this will be my one and only speeding ticket.

I will take your teeth out if you break up with me!!!

Holy poo, did you hear about the Polish woman who pulled out her ex-boyfriend's teeth out of revenge????

If not, you must read it here. Or just google it because the whole world is talking about.
My favorite sentences from the news article:

  •  according to remarks given to the Austrian Times, "I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions. But when I saw him lying there I just thought, 'What a bastard' and decided to take all his teeth out,"
  • "I didn't have any reason to doubt her, I mean, I thought she was a professional," he said.
So, lesson learned.... if you break up with someone because you left them for another woman, don't go back to them for services.  You might just walk out with no teeth.
