Post vacation blues

Things I hate the most about post vacation:
1. Coming back to a snow storm after being in the caribbean for a week.
2. Doing laundry
3. Having no food in the fridge.
4. Having to put away my summer clothes for the next few months.
5. Getting back into a rouine.
6. Cooking
7. Cleaning
8. Not having towel animals and mints on my bed.

I miss my cruise vacation.

Best vacation ever!

So, you haven't seen anything from me lately because the hubs and I went to a cruise vacation with 12 of our closest friends. Needless to say, we had a FANTASTIC time! But what sucks major balls is that we came home to yet again another snow storm in Jersey.  I will be posting some hilarious stories from our cruise so stay tuned.  I missed you bloggy peeps and hope your past week was great!

When is it too much to pack for seven day cruise?

We leave soon with 14 friends to a cruise vacation.  I have started packing two weeks ago.  I do not kid you.  I figured half my stuff is summer clothes which I am not using here in Jersey as we seem to be getting nailed with two snowstorms a week on average so I was able to pack my shorts, swimsuits, formal dresses, and some shirts.  Two weeks ago, I threw them in the luggage to get started.  Today, was a trial run of real packing so I can make sure I am not overweight on my luggage.  I decided to drag everything into the living room and make it my packing palace for the day.  Hubs was at work so I was also able to watch a chick flick at the same time, SCORE!

Do you think I am bringing way too much makeup with me?  I think.......NOT!  Gotta have the essentials and then also have to have the extra glittery twinkly for those formal nights and club nights.  Silly thinking I don't need ALL this makeup below...

My couch became a table as I spread everything out into piles such as shorts for cruise boat, shorts for excursions, swimsuits, undergarmetns, formal attire, dinner attire, makeup pile, etc.  You get the point.

I think I have done pretty well with the shoes.  Since I had foot surgery, I am not able to wear heels yet.  This SUCKS but at the same time is GREAT because flat shoes don't take up much space which means I can bring more makeup!

So, any packing tips for me?  I am trying to squeeze in eight days worth of vacationing clothes since we will be spending a day in HOT Miami.  Woop Woop!

Pics are worth a thousand words.

My close friends and I recently had a xmas gathering party.  We do this instead of exchanging presents.  Our party was really late this year due to schedule conflicts, but we still go to party together!  So, I will share some pics from the party with you all, because some of them are just too funny.

My bests friend Raff looks like she is attempting to open up the bottle of wine with her teeth.  Can we say AWESOME!

Cupcakes I made.  I think I ate about three of them.  Could have been more though.  I was too tipsy to remember.

I needed ice for wrap my swollen foot with (due to foot surgery I had).  Shawn, the host and also my number 2, got me some ice.  A CHUNK of it.  Because we all know that a chunk of ice is easy to wrap around a foot and ankle.

Sis-In-Crime loves to be silly.  She has a picture of me as well with my camera.  We're cool like that.

Me and Shawn before we got totally trashed that one of us passed out and hint it wasn't me had just a tad to drink.

It was a fantastic time.  Our host had such a good time he passed out in his own house.  While he was sleeping, we continued to play with the Xbox Kinect and Taboo.  My friends are awesome.  Love  my life!

Womp Womp and Woop Woop

For the past couple of months I have been driving the hubs, and probably my friends too, completely crazy with the use of these two phrases:

Womp womp
Woop woop

And yes, I spell them that way because I can and will.  Don't stick your nose in here english majors, I don't care.  Even though it sucks when I am on the hubs iPad on facebook and it ALWAYS changes woop woop to whoop whoop and womp womp to whomp whomp, annoying.

So yeah, any chance, and I mean any chance as in every single sentence that comes out of my mouth, I insert one of these two phrases.  And you know what?  It is still funny to me.  Gets me every time, especially the womp womp one.  If used correctly, you can gain a lot of giggles.

So, I am now off to finish packing for my cruise vacation coming up in five days!  Woop Woop.  But that entails starting to try to put outfits together, figuring out what shoes to bring, attempting to consolidate my makeup bag to weight about 2 pounds and not the 5 pounds it currently weighs, and trying clothes on to see what still fits [cringe]. Womp Womp.

What phrases do you use all the time that drives your friends and family crazy?

Chicken cutlet in shape of penis? I think so... took a pic too.

You see, it's like my blogging mind knows that I am back and ready to blog about the most crazy things that happen in my married life.  And this is definitely one of those blogger moments where thank goodness for cell phones like my Droid that have decent camera quality and is always by my side.

I was  making chicken cutlets for dinner and as I am staring at the pan, I scream out "OH MY GOD, it looks like a penis.  Babe, come look at the chicken that looks like a penis.  Oh this is sooooooo a blogging moment!"

Feast your eyes on my chicken cutlet penis. Balls, tip and all.

Yeah, I am definitely back to blogging.  Your welcome.

Writer's block?

So, it's been a long time since I have written and I refuse to sit here and give you a list of excuses or make promises because clearly my life has been taken over and it seems that this thing called "writer's block" has hit me and I mean it has hit me hard.  I have had so much happen to me over the past three months that has been very WORTHY of blogging, but for some reason, my brain would not cooperate with my skinny fingers to type away.

What made me write now?  I have no idea....  It's just like my fingers were screaming and begging for me "type type TYPE!!  Please, we dont' want to forget how it feels like to write again!"..... I completely swear my fingers said that.  I'll show you the next time I see you.  Anyways, I was applying for a job when the hubs yelled over from the living room and asked me if I was blogging and I said " NO.... [then in my head I said, leave me alone about the blogging... no of course I am not blogging I have told you that I have writer's block.... but then my brain quickly realized that is a stupid thing to say].  So, here I am... writing.. blogging... GOD I miss this.  Why the hell did I stop?!?!?!  Right now, at this moment, I have a butterfly feeling in my tummy.  A good one.  Lots of good flutters going on.

So, quick re-cap on what has happened in the past three months via bullet points....because we all love bullet points...

  • Got laid off my job I was at for 3 months.... douchebags... seriously, you shouldn't have hired me if you were not doing so great financially... now you screwed me over.  Oh yeah, and it happened the week before Thanksgiving.  I told you they were douchebags.
  • Since I was laid off, I decided to go and get a bunion fixed on my left foot because it has been bothering me for a long time, but I always came up with an excuse to not get the surgery done.  I had no excuse now since I wasn't working.  I go to the foot doc and he says "Sure thing we can fix the bunion with surgery, and while we are at it.  We can fix that Achilles tendon of yours that is tight and we need to snip at it"  Awesome.... six weeks in a damn cast.  Great WAY for me to spend Christmas and snowy, icy weather.  I have been cooped up in my apt since Dec. 4th.
  • Looking for jobs sucks.  It is time consuming because people just don't ask for your resume anymore, they ask you to fill out all the information that is usually found in your resume separately in their own little online system.  ANNOYING.
  • I leave in ten days on vacation.  THANK. GOD. THE. LORD. JESUS. FOR. VACATIONS. Especially ones that I have had booked since last March!  Couldn't come at a better time.
So, there you have it, three months worth of blogging in bullet points.  No worries, not all of my blog posts will be like this....

So, what did I miss... Which bloggy friend of mine is pregnant????  (it seems like the trend)
