The couch loved me yesterday and getting punched in the face

I hope you all had a very happy 4th of July. I don't know about where you live, but here in Jersey it was mother effin hot.  Like, too hot for me.  Every time I went outside to walk the dog, that heat PUNCHED ME IN MY FACE. Like BAM in your face curly hair girl with the dog.  Serious, that's what I heard the heat say.  My hair took on a life of it's own because of the humidity.  The dog didn't even want to walk because it was so freaking hot.  So, Sadie and I made an executive decision.  We did this all day yesterday while the hubs was out working:

Yep, we laid on the couch.  It was glorious. While our AC blew wonderful cold air at our faces. We watched The Help, and tons of other TV.  And you know what, it was fantastic.  I have been on the go for the last couple of weeks.  Every weekend has been jam packed so I took the day yesterday to do NOTHING.  I didn't even shower.  In my pj's all day.  The couch gladly accepted my big fat ass as I snuggled into it.  I think the couch missed me.

We did do some walking around the house.  See....

We weren't super lazy.  Oh well.  I did eventually get up to do some light cleaning and I also made some frozen bananas dipped in chocolate.  AND I cooked dinner.  So bam, I was productive.

I also decided to start my workout.  I tried disc one and let me tell you, I was so proud of myself.  I did really good considering I am in no shape at all.  But my body aches this morning.  That's a good sign right?  Is it also a good sign that yawning makes my body hurt? Seriously!!!  I am so afraid to yawn.

Today is going to be a killer day.  As soon as I get home I have a shit ton of stuff to do.  We need to run to Costco to pick up some burgers and dogs for our outing this weekend, then come home and I need to bake some cupcakes for the weekend, then pack us and the dog for our weekend adventure.  Sadie is going to the dog hotel for one night and doggy day camp the day after so I have to separate her food and pack her stuff up.  We are heading to my bestie's house Friday night and having a  good ole fashion sleepover with a bunch of friends.  So excited.  On Saturday, we are getting up at the crack of dawn to head over to Lake Hopatcong for some summer bbq and lake fun.  We have to leave early though because it gets full very fast and the bestie lives five minutes away.  Hence the sleepover.  This is going to be a shit show people.  A whole bunch of grown hilarious adults and throw in some alcohol.... yeah, this will be a weekend to remember.

Also, how much does it suck to come to work for two days, have off in the middle, then come back for two more days.  This is a bummer!  Hopefully today goes by fast.

Happy Thirsty Thursday bloggy peeps!  Have a margarita.... it's OK.  Treat yourself.

I don't know exactly how normal it actually is to be afraid of yawning - LOL but good for you lady! I've started walking/pretending to run lately and I'm loving it. Lord knows I need it - I'm excited for you!

I have straight straight hair, so I can't relate to that, but I do know it was HOT HOT HOT yesterday.
I love that sore feeling after a workout, it makes me feel like I accomplished something. Even if it hurts sitting down and standing up.

It was pretty hot here, but luckily in CA we don't get the super bad humidity. On Tuesday I decided to take the rest of the week off because I knew I would just be miserable coming back to work.
