My toes are numb!

Since my one year anniversary is coming up, I thought I would share some funny stories from my wedding day.

As a bride, everyone told me that I wasn't going to eat or dance at all on my wedding day. Some people even told me to make sure that my reception place packed a "doggy bag" for us because they were convinced that we wouldn't have the chance to eat. Well, we proved them wrong! We both ate our dinner, and when I say ate, I mean we cleaned off our plates! I might have even stole some food off of Mr. Newlywed Giggle's plate when he wasn't looking! I made sure that I had cocktails AND dessert WITH coffee. So, I was full and had lots of energy to dance the night away after dinner. I danced so much that for 4 days after the wedding I was convinced that I must have broken my toes because of how numb they were! Mind you, immediately when I got to the reception, I changed from my dress shoes to flip flops because I knew I wanted to dance. And even with the more comfortable shoes my toes were still numb.

But it was all worth it!

So, did you get to eat on your wedding day and dance after?

Love the wedding picture! You look great!

I definitely ate on my wedding day! The food was really good, there's no way I would've passed that up! I didn't eat much of my cake though, I was really nervous about our first dance which we were doing next! I guess I have to wait another 8 months and then I can dig into the top layer that's sitting in our freezer!

Unfortunately I had the FLU during my wedding events so everything that I tried to eat went down untasted. I had a terrible sore throat and an even worse cough, not to mention the fact that my stomach was a mess from all of the medicine I was on, so I didn't have an appetite. There were more than a few times that someone shoved food in my mouth and told me to chew and swallow so I wouldn't faint during our wedding weekend! I am so angry that I didn't get to really enjoy the food at our rehearsal and reception because I know it was delicious, but all of my taste buds were muted! Everyone is still talking about how good our food was... stupid flu...

I had the best time at my wedding! Yes, I ate, I drank, & I danced the night away. It didn't take that long to say hi to all the guests (or at least most of them - you always miss someone) and then the party started rollin'!

I wore gussied up Keds the entire day - wedding right through the reception. No tired feet here :)

Yes, we both ate well at our wedding. I did not eat a ton just because I was so wound up and excited and I never eat a lot when I am like that :-) and I wanted to get out and walk around to the different tables and stuff before that dancing started so that part would be taken care of :-) Then yes we danced a TON! It was so much fun! My heels were actually really comfy and yes my feet did hurt by the end of the night, but not too bad. I LOVED those shoes! :-)

We both ate and danced a TON. We had a very small wedding and it made it possible to really enjoy ourselves.

xoxo!

So, I am not married yet, (or even engaged for that matters, lol) but I hear this alll of the time! I really hope that when my BIG DAY comes, I get to enjoy every moment of it. It goes so fast and I think it is important to try and enjoy every part of it...just like you did! As for the shoes...girl, I dont even know how you lasted that long in heals...I think ill skip them all together and go straight to the flip flops! HEHE:)

I am new to your blog. I love it. I am a newlywed too, but I have to say that Hubs and I definately ate. He drank enough for me...all I was craving was soda, but still, it was a great night! Congrats on your anniversary!
